I cut my heel open and I still can't walk. How much longer?

Asked by SkittleKicker (13points) July 15th, 2014

I cut the back of my heel open over 4 months ago and ended up with 11 stitches, and just missing the Achilles tendon by 2mm. I have a walking boot with wedges in it but I have been told it will take me almost another 2 months to remove these. Is this normal? I know all cases are different but I’ve seen others that say they could walk properly after 3 months. Even now I can’t bring myself to walk normally with this boot, I guess I’m just curious to how much longer this could take or if anyone has any information at all that they think could help. Thanks.
