What are the best fiction and non-fiction books about life in post September 11 New York?

Asked by nina (895points) July 7th, 2008

I am a lover of good fiction and non-fiction alike. The books I love are by Adam Gopnik, Mark Kurlandsky, Seth Margolis. The ‘Sex in the City’ book is, in my opinion, very week but the show is great. I am sure there are many more books that I would enjoy reading. So, please help me out, fellow-Flutherers

What does this have to do with life post 9/11?

Saturday by Ian McEwan, which I haven’t read, is supposed to be a very good fiction about 9/11, or takes place after with respect to it. He’s a great writer, so I imagine the book is good.
