What are the two-three main sources of worry/concern in your life now?

Asked by ZEPHYRA (21750points) October 14th, 2014

Have they been there for years in the same form? Are you closer to sorting things out or are these worries constant?

My new house.

My marriage. Not that it is seriously on the rocks or anything, I just hate that my husband have being having a lot of conflict lately.

My health. Specifically my weight having gone up and the stress level I am under I think puts me at risk for a bad health event.

I need a job.

I’m tired a lot.

@JLeslie perhaps the move has tensed you up a bit and when you are settled things will fall into place naturally.

My health.
Finding an affordable orthodontist and oral surgeon for my daughter and son for their much needed dental work. My husband’s employer does not offer dental insurance.

I’m not closer to sorting these out and I don’t know what a day without stress feels like.

Finances. They have been bad for a good 5 years. I see no way in the future of them getting any better.
My Health.
I am obese. I don’t have any medical problems due to it. Yet. I am trying this and that as usual. With the feeling that I will get nowhere.
My husband’s health.
He has a congenital heart disorder and needs to be on top of his meds and testing/check ups. This is one that could be gotten up to par eventually. He’s getting better with it.

School, it’s my senior year of high school and there are a million and one things to do.
Kind of along with school is college applications, which take up a lot of my time outside of school.
And most recently is my health, apparently I might have shin splints right now.

My family – I work full time and go to school full time. My free time is practically non-existent. My family has been doing great with understanding what is going on and working with my schedule, but I worry that they’ll begin to resent the time I’m dedicating to school and work right now. Only 19 more months!!

School – I am a perfectionist and want to maintain my 4.0 GPA. NP school is tough and family life makes it difficult to study at times. I constantly worry my grades are going to drop or that I’m not going to be successful.

If I can do this job for another couple years. How I’m going to manage not being able to drive for 11 months. Random worries about my children.

Will I stay awake until the end of this shift, uh! Will my doggone car make it through another winter.?

Work.
Being thrown into a corporate management position with a staff so green, they’re barely budding. I need to clone myself 6 times just to run triage and keep from drowning.
It’s like the story of the brave little Dutch boy who plugs his finger into the dam… only I have to so shove in the entire child and I’m running out of bodies to stop up the holes!

I know how the caged hamster feels and I just hope production continues on beer and xanax. They are my recharging grace at the moment.

Just how long can this stress-life last before I explode and make a huge mess?

Should I give a pay rise to the butler or the gardener, hmmm…decisions, decisions.

ZEPHYRA's avatar

@Blueroses you will be amazed at your strength which will handle all that and more!

@ucme the gardener, he has such harder duties, the thorn bush alone took him hours to prune!

Numero uno right now is: holy fuck in a few months I have to leave college and be a real person with a real job and will I be happy in that life? Have I chosen my career path well? Not to mention I still have to GET a job and weigh the opportunities against each other, which one is best for me? And once I decide, can I pass the interviews? Been rejected a few times now…

Number two was number one a bit ago but things seem to be on the mend now. Health things.

Long term health and money.

Dutchess_III's avatar

@Mariah are you happy in your life now? If so, chances are that you’ll be happy in another life.

My boyfriend’s having a hard time at the moment. This particular problem has only been around for a week but I am always a little bit worried about him for one reason or another so you could say it’s an ongoing worry.
