As “a strange visitor from another planet who came to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men”—with the mission is to aid and protect all its peoples (not just the citizens of Metropolis)—I choose to believe that Superman’s larger view of universal truths and realities precludes his wedding himself to any single religion or philosophy; rather, he maintains respect and an open mind to all of them, which is what he wishes Earthlings could do.

Only Superchurches.

Having been raised by an elderly, conservative couple, I suspect that Clark Kent attends or has attended church.
I suspect that Superman does not have a religion.

Our lady of the glowing crystals? I would imagine Ma and Pa Kent were good church-going midwestern farmers. Probably Methodist.

The Kents were, indeed, God fearing people. Superman believed, as well. Imagine what a prick he would have been without his faith.

No but he worships the Kryptonite God privately.

He’s enough of a prick with his faith.

Wow! I just took a stab at being Methodist. A good guess. At the time the Superman character was being formed that would have been an important component to some readers. It explains a lot about the way he thinks and the way decisions are made in his mind. I for one am pleased.
