Where did the concept of the silver cord come from?

Asked by talljasperman (21916points) October 27th, 2014

In culture the three fates cut ones cord effectively killing the person and in astral traveling also has a sliver cord where one is lost if the cord is severed. In Dungeons and Dragon’s an astral dreadnought can sever someone’s cord in the astral plane. Also an astral wind can sever a new cord.
What other information do you have on Astral traveling? For those who don’t believe in astral traveling you can refer me to someone who does?

Getting stuck again in this fantasy is another way for you to not get out, get moving, eat better and try something to move your life forward a little. I feel sad that you are sliding backwards.

There is no astral traveling. And talk like this will not garner you any hugs. (I would also refer you to this).

Ecclesiastes 12:6

“Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.”

It’s symbolic of the spinal cord.
