Can someone please explain some of the major diffference between APA and MLA writing styles are?

One big thing I noticed is that after a period there is only one space. This is difficult to overcome if you’ve been typing in MLA for most of your adult life. I think also the way you refer to your sources is different, but I’m not sure exactly how.

APA is the American Psychological Association and MLA is Modern Language Association. When I took a psychology class we used APA, but in my other classes (English, anthropology, sociology (well, mostly MLA, sometimes we used ASA), history) we used MLA. There are citation differences in the two. The OWL helped me out a bit when I was writing my papers. Here are the links for help with APA and for MLA.
