Like Father, Like Son . A wonderful Japanese film, very moving without trying to be moving, poses a difficult dilemma for any parent, it is thoroughly worth watching, by my reckoning.

I Frankenstein, it was so crap that I laughed out some tears.

I am pretty sentimental, so I am a soft touch on tears in movies.
Mockingjay.

“Intersteller” has a scene in a hospital room that got to me. I won’t describe it, in case you haven’t seen it. I lot of people didn’t like this movie. I was NOT one of them.

I cried when ET was sick so I’m pretty pathetic. Intersteller got me too @Pachy. For me it was just before he left.

Intersteller was okay. Not the best movie I’ve seen all year, but it entertained me.

No movie ever did. The ending of the Anime Series “H2O: Footprints in the Sand”, however, did.

There are many to choose from, here’s one, its called The Lovely Bones.
Anyone remember this Movie?

I’m an easy cry. It was probably some commercial with a cute baby in it.

St Vincent

Home alone… the battle music. I had plans for trapping my grandpa’s basement. Also when Lita Kano picked up Game Machine without any superpowers… and became Sailor Jupiter.

I cry easily when it comes to movies, so I tend to try not to watch movies that I know will make me sad. Some that I have cried my eyes out to were “The Incredible Journey,” “The Yearling,” “Lassie Come Home,” “Free Willy.” (notice a theme? Animal movies). I saw a non-animal movie last year (or last winter) in the theater that made me cry, but offhand I don’t remember what it was. I’ll think of it.

Maleficent. I felt sorry for the lost of her innocence and joy. I know it is a fairy tale but I couldn’t help but feel her anguish at being betrayed and the loss of her innocence, also the loss of her freedom. Kind of reminds me of what people take away from birds when they clip their wings and cage them. Then I cried again when her heart softened once more. ( I don’t want to give the whole story away in case someone wants to watch it.)
But needless to say, it reminds me of people who are so carefree and loving, and how society sometimes squashes them and strips them of their innocence.

Sunny’s Slumber Party. It’s a beautiful, emotional film.

I’ve never cried from a movie but A Place Beyond The Pines made me slightly emotional.

The short, 12 minute video: The Face Thief did it for me. I was a basket case at the end.
It is about a detective trying so hard to solve a puzzle and make understanding of an extremely complicated issue. You are just as confused as he and try to figure it out what each piece means and why it is there. Everything in that movie has meaning. All the pieces fall together at the end. And you will not be able to talk.

Damn! My keyboard just got blurry!

Make the Yuletide Gay, I think

OMG, @LuckyGuy – just the mention of the title had me again. It was worse when I watched it the second time.

I’m also a softie and cry easily in movies. One that really got me was The Joy Luck Club… Thankfully, I was smart enough to go see it alone and I brought two travel packs of Kleenex with me.

LuckyGuy's avatar

@hearkat See what I mean? I watched it the second time and knowing what was really happening made the feelings even more intense.

Here’s another nice one for you! Dia de los Muertos
It is only 3 minutes. You will be smiling and crying at the end. It too is better the second time.

hearkat's avatar

I predicted that one, @LuckyGuy, but still got misty…

LuckyGuy's avatar

You are smarter than me. I had no idea what was coming.
And then Bam! Basket case!

Earthbound_Misfit's avatar

Not the last film but Ring of Bright Water! OMG!!!! I was so lulled into a happy, animal loving mood.

Broken_EarthAngel's avatar

@LuckyGuy That was mysterious and well made,
but the blank faces just gave me the heebe, jeebies..
Thanks for sharing it!!

I was just thinking about this question….there was an episode of The Love Boat that made me cry! I think it featured Diana Ross, sort of as herself, but under a different name. But she was a rich, very famous singer. She and that one black guy fell in love, but when the cruise was over it ended the romance because of her fame. She sang the saddest song. It was sad. ;’(

Broken_EarthAngel's avatar

@Dutchess_III Hmmm I’m curious now, gota see that one. Grabs box of tissues, sniff sniffles.

@Broken_EarthAngel Hopefully you understand why the faces were stolen and who was doing it. The credits give you the answer. I don’t want to give it away here. I’ll PM you.
