What are some foods/drinks and meals that you wolf down?

Asked by talljasperman (21916points) December 4th, 2014

Also the opposite. What foods/drinks and meals do you savor? Do you skip meals or drink a meal replacement drink, like Ensure and Boost.

I hardly ever eat hastily, I’m usually last to finish. I guess I’m most likely to eat quickly when having pasta. I especially savor eggs, because there never seems to be enough of those. If I skip meals, that’s due to lack of time or appetite. I make up for it later on.

I usually wolf down anything that is delicious. I don’t take time to savor. But I’m a slow eater so I can still savor the food anyway.

I rarely skip any meals. If I do I will do the same thing as @longgone.

I rarely wolf down, although I do eat on the fast side. But that’s because when I eat I concentrate on enjoying the food, and I like it hot.

I don’t skip meals because my diet is such that I cannot eat just anything.

I used to wolf down food when I ate a lot of junk. I don’t do that any more.

I’m the fastest eater I know. It literally makes peoples jaw drop.

I try not to eat too fast. It is better for my weight and feeling of fullness not to.

I almost never eat quickly, and my fast is still not fast to most people.

Pizza with anchovies or clams, I like seafood on pizza (but pepperoni is good too).

I don’t like replacement drinks.

Pizza, mac & cheese, mac & tomatoes, home raised pork roast and pork chops, moose, chicken, turkey sandwiches, hamburgers, pumpkin pie, chocolate-chip cookies, Grandmother’s mashed potatoes, Grandmother’s fried eggs (in bacon grease!), chocolate cake, home-baked dinner rolls with real butter and strawberry preserves, BLTs, hot or cold milk chocolate, fresh halibut, to name a few…
I stay away from liver, celery, raisins, oyster stew. YEECH!

Mmm…almost time now for some moderate wolfing of my amazing spaghetti sauce and garlic bread.
I only eat fast when I am starving, which I am right now. A full day and only had a yogurt, a little slice of pumpkin bread and a mandarin orange, going for my sauce in about 3 minutes here. It has the other 5 servings of veggies in it for me today. haha

I’ve always been an insanely fast eater, and I’ve got a stock of Alka-Seltzer to prove it.

I always feel like I have to hurry. One thing I eat fast intentionally are cheeseburgers. I was at a bar eating and strangers actually told me to slow down lol.

Fresh apple cinnamon donuts. I bought ½ a dozen from an orchard bake shop. I had to go back before I got to the car. They didn’t survive the trip from shop to car.

I could eat lasagna every day for the rest of my life and be fine with it. Ooh, and cheesecake for dessert. Are you kidding me? Heaven!
