Melodica/ Wind Piano?

I was just wondering if any users know how to play a melodica. I think its a pretty uncommon instrument, its also called a wind piano. I have an alto melodica.

I know a bit about them and I’ve been experimenting with it. Its played like a piano but, you blow into it as well. Sadly I don’t know how to play a piano, just the alto saxophone.

Anyway, just any tips and advice pianists, melodica players, or multi-instrumentalists could give me would be much appreciated!

I had one so long ago I don’t remember what happened to it. I think it would be a good tool for you to use to learn the keyboard basics. From the sax you probably already have some breath control, and the melodica is an extremely portable keyboard. If you’ve played alto sax, you’ll find that the “C” on the sax will sound as an “Eb” on the keyboard.
