What services, etc, does Wounded Warriors provide?

I listen to the heartfelt commercials daily but they never say specifically what they do for the wounded. All they do say is the person giving $19 a month gets a blanket.

Here’s what I was looking for:
Mission
The mission of Wounded Warrior Project is to honor and empower wounded warriors. Our purpose is: to raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women; to help severely injured service members aid and assist each other; and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of severely injured service members.
Question: Empower them to do what? How can they aid and assist each other and what kind of assistance are we talking about?
Giving them a job scraping the barnacles from the bottom of the CEOs yacht.
