I would and could be in many places right now, as it’s Spring Break and money is not necessarily too limited. However, I am happy right where I am (a resort in Massachusetts) where, in this country, I know what my rights are, I know what the laws are, and I know pretty much what to expect and when to expect it. Look at that bullshit that happened to Amanda Knox, where they were considering trying her for a crime she was already tried for. It’s a beautiful country, Italy, but do you really know what the laws are there when you’re there? Look at these crazy ISIS things occurring all over where they take someone outside and cut their head off. No thank you. I’m ok right here, right now.

I’m happy where I am today. In Australia, in Sydney, with my beautiful man. Tomorrow, I’d like to go on a road trip around Europe and then after that we’ll fly to the US and do a road trip there.

The United Kingdom, especially Gloucestershire and the Inner Hebrides. I very much wish to see the lands of my ancestors.

To live – wow, this question just made me realize that for the first time in my life, I would say the US. And not just that – exactly where I’m living now. Weird feeling, not wanting to escape.

To visit – Russia. It’s the culture outside my own that I’ve been most involved with, and I have some background with the language. The art, the literature, the history, the land – such an amazing place. I’ve wanted to go since I was 9 or 10, I think.

I have a friend outside of Stockholm Sweden that has offered me the apartment adjacent to his garage if I ever make it to Sweden. That is sounding pretty good right about now. It is currently empty. I could learn to like blonds.

We used to have Taco Tiko here! It was on the same corner as Aunt Chilada’s, where the pizza joint is now. @Dutchess_III.

Either America (Tennessee if I can be specific) or Scotland (the west highlands) if I were to go back to places that I have been to and loved.

For places I haven’t been to, the Far East is very high on my wish list.

‘I’m in one of my places right now – San Francisco.

Espiritus_Corvus's avatar

I’m leaving one of the places right now, St. Helena. It’s a beautiful little island with a spring and summer like the coast north of San Francisco. Rolling green hills, eucalyptus trees, fruit orchards, big old oaks, a few patches of pine. Old, winding, country roads lined with rough-hewn wooden fences. Kind of like west Ireland. Very nice people here as well, slow pace, untouched by all the shit that goes on in other parts of the world. Low humidity with nice 75F days, cool nights. Great country to see on horseback.

Next year they’ll finish the airport and real estate prices are already rising. The character of this place will probably change radically with an increase in commerce (can’t blame the people for wanting that) and hordes of retirees and vacationers due to arrive from the UK and South Africa. I hope they don’t start tearing down these beautiful old, substantial Georgian buildings in Jamestown and replacing them with cheap steel and glass, or the concrete block housing I see on Ascension and almost everywhere else. I hope the Saints use their heads.

I’m glad I got this last glimpse of it as it will never be the same after the 747s start landing here.

Nice, nice place.
