Does it really all make perfect sense expressed in dollars and cents?

Asked by rojo (24179points) May 22nd, 2015

Pounds, shillings and pence?

PS, this is also the song running through my head today, and last night (and probably tomorrow now).

Sort of a non-cents-ical question.

I don’t really watch random videos. What’s it about?

No, but that’s what God wants anyways.

@Blackberry It’s off of Roger Waters’ Amused to Death album.

It certainly does if you live only for money.

This reminds me of a novel I read not too long ago. This is my vague inference based off a not so great memory so bear with me as I fumble around with it….the idea did catch my attention and seemed worthy of further contemplation. However I must have gotten distracted.
It posited that we do not mourn an individual, they are memories.

We can mourn future events they might have shares with us but still that is not mourning the person. Because we already know them. Because we have shared with them and them with us. Their place is intangibly etched in us and around us and we will always carry them with us. Any way the ideas seemed linked at least momentarily.

What a haunting song. I have to admit I don’t think I have listened to roger waters outside of pink Floyd.
