Anyone else looking forward to the film "The Founder" starring Michael Keaton?

Asked by rockfan (14627points) July 9th, 2015

It’s an upcoming biographical film about Ray Croc and his acquisition of the McDonald’s fast food chain. At first I thought it sounded lame, but the director, John Lee Hancock, has said the film will be developed in the same vein as There Will Be Blood and The Social Network. Plus, the screenplay is being written by Robert D. Siegel, who also wrote The Wrestler. I think it sounds extremely promising. What do you think?

The release date is set for late 2016.

I haven’t seen them all, but of the ones I have seen, I have not seen a bad Michael Keaton movie. So I suspect it will be pretty good.

Both of which were made by true masters of the craft, Paul Thomas Anderson and David Fincher.
This HanCock guy does not hold a candle to them, so I find it pretty daft that he compares himself to them.

I don’t think he’s comparing himself to Anderson or Fincher, he’s just saying what the tone will be like.
