In your opinion, what kind of websites qualify as "social networks?"?

I would say any web site that lets people connect and share thoughts. My favorite is this one

Of course I love Fluther. I also like Facebook, because I can keep up with classmates, friends, and former coworkers without having to actually talk to any of those jerks.

Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and Google’s social site, whatever it is called.

I don’t consider Fluther to be a social network even though many of us are very social in here.

@JLeslie: you reminded me of the famous question from a few years ago where it was asked “do you know that Fluther is not a social website?”

I had forgotten about that Q. I wonder what I answered back then? I think I did right an opinion.

The company I work for blocks social networking Web sites, but I can log onto Fluther. Whatever algorithm they use to determine what is a social networking site excludes Fluther.

Since I discovered this site I don’t seem to be on FB as much. I am really enjoying this site and I consider it to be a social site but without all the selfies and drama!
