I don’t believe in fate or destiny so I’ll say coincidence.

Aren’t questions on Fluther not supposed to be “Totally open-ended”?

Mere coincidences. Any implied meaning behind such an event is brought by ourselves and our own prejudices, fears, and desires.

@Damien—- is there a rule for that? I don’t think it matters….

For me coincidences or nothing more than chance and probability, but that doesn’t stop me from using them in my life. Coincidences are sometimes opportunities for relationships, business or personal growth. Take advantage of the opportunities life hands you.

once is happenstance
twice is coincidence

I think most of the time they are coincidences. I have had a few chains of what appeared to be serendipitous events occur at exactly the right time in my life that I find interesting.

However, when you begin to think cnincidences are not coincidences most of the time, it is a slippery slope to conspiracy theorist.

We find connections however, and whenever we please; its an important human attribute. Coincidence is all perspective.
