What's the weirdest thing you've googled this week?

Asked by meta_amanda (230points) January 30th, 2016

Just yesterday some of mine were:
-flowering bush autumn
-dirndl images (and lederhosen)
-punck (it was a typo, but it has its own meaning. Don’t recommend)
-short story “bullet in the brain” (it’s by Tobias Wolff and I definitely recommend)
-strawberry frog

I can thank @ragingloli for this:

“Bear testicle size”

Also high on the list are a bunch of searches for different auditory hallucinations, because I couldn’t remember the word “misophonia”.

I suppose it depends on your definition of weird.

I tried to Google game box art with a wolf holding a severed hard or arm, to try to answer this question .

I Googled for pictures of the heels on Anakin Skywalker’s boots, after reading someone suggest that Darth Vader was taller than Anakin because of his boots and helmet (not because the actor was taller).

I Googled for pictures of Anakin getting his limbs removed by Obi-Wan, for a discussion of how impractical jumping and spinning would really be during light saber combat (without retcon Force theories).

I Googled “How do you get non-horrible instrument sounds for Sibelius?” That sounds weird but is a very logical and common question.

- “why humans have chins” because something I heard on NPR contradicted something I had learned in an anthro class. I was able to find the anthro class explanation so I guess I’m sticking to it, although more tentatively, since apparently it’s uncertain enough that someone else did a dissertation investigating the question…
– “lacunae” because the word was in a lit discussion question.
– “xkcd knight and bishop” and “xkcd scientist” because I was trying to show my roommate that the comic is funny and my previous attempts hadn’t been working.
– “define pierott” because someone in a book was wearing a pierrot hat, and apparently I couldn’t type the word correctly.

Not sure if that all qualifies as weird, but there it is!

Also I second the recommendation of “Bullet in the Brain.” I love Tobias Wolff, and that short story is mind blowing….... Are you cringing yet? Was my bad pun cringe-worthy? Seriously, though, it’s a good read.

Best betting odds on Trump being next prez to be assassinated, stuck £50 on.

@ucme
Are you sure it was not a crowd funding campaign to pay for a professional hitman?

ucme's avatar

@ragingloli Yeah i’m sure, I only want him dead if I get paid, quite a tidy profit too.

My search history is crazy.
Here a few things I have recently searched for:
Elderly person with freckles
Baby eating statue
Gangaginbagal
Strong duck
Mountain chicken
How to shake hands
Pickup lines

Yeah, my search history and my mind are quite…unusal.

Wendi McClendon-Covey boobs in corset! I was looking for a screen shot of her in a corset thing that I saw on Reno 911 to show my boyfriend because I think she looked incredible and I wanted to share!!
