What flavor of ice cream do you scream for?

Asked by Coloma (47193points) February 26th, 2016

I have not had ice cream in a year or so now and tonight’s the night, Rocky Road made extra rocky with added chopped walnuts.
My favorite flavors include, Coffee or Mocha Almond Fudge, Pistachio, Maple Nut, and Mint Chocolate Chip. What flavor of ice cream is your special weakness?

Mint Chocolate Chip in a waffle cone is the best.

I really, really love Connoisseur Murray River Salted Caramel ice cream. Oh…. my….. god! I’m not a big ice cream eater, but that stuff is addictive. If it’s in the freezer, I am going to eat it. So perhaps see if you can try some salted caramel ice cream.

I’m a Ben and Jerry’s fan. New York Super Fudge Chunk, Phish Food, and Stephen Colbert’s Americone Dream are my favourites so far.

Vanilla.
Wow, dxs! You must be such an exciting guy to be around!

@dxs LOL…Vanilla ice cream and a late night in the chat room, dude…you can only live in the fast lane for just so long before it’ll catch up with you.

Like @dxs, my favorite is vanilla ice cream. In a waffle cone, or sundae style with hot fudge or caramel sauce and nuts.

Baskin Robbins Jamocha Almond Fudge.

Pistachio Almond.

Tonight I had mint chocolate chip pie in an oreo crust, with chocolate sauce.

1.) Coffee (Starbucks ; hate their hot coffee but LOVE their ice cream)

2.) Mint Chocolate Chip but only if it’s the thin flaky type of chocolate (like Turkey Hill) NOT those big hard frozen chunks which don’t really melt (like Edys)

Yes, I know I’m fussy :D

I just had a scoop of dark chocolate and a scoop of hazelnut fudge ice cream from the Spanish chocolate shop. It was very yummy.

Coffee and chocolate (any kind of chocolate, but white one is the most favorable), but I also scream for anything exotic. I’ve just discovered that there is actually a thing called green tea ice-cream. It is awesome!

Baskin Robbins used to have a German Chocolate ice cream that has become mythical in my mind.
Chocolate ice cream with huge chunks of fudge that was swirled with caramel and a pecan/coconut goo.

When I was a skinny teenaged boy with a bottomless pit of a stomach, I could eat 2 scoops.

Those were the days.

@Buttonstc: I agree about the chocolate flakes. I first became a fan of Mint Choc Chip when I was little, and we’d get Baskin Robbins, which has the flakes. They melt very easily and require no chewing.

Buttonstc's avatar

Yes. Edys used to be that way and then they switched to those chunks instead.

The problem is that it takes the chunks so much longer to melt that you weren’t getting the chocolate flavor with the mint but after the mint. Horrible.

Coloma's avatar

@Buttonstc and @jca I agree with the flaked chocolate in Mint Chip Ice cream, not the chunks. :-)

@ibstubro Oh man, I haven’t been able to find the Ben & Jerrys, ” Pistachio, Pistachio” or that would have been my choice yesterday. I always like to add extra nuts to my ice cream, being a nut myself I think it is fitting. haha I will buy a bag of salted shelled pistachios and srinkple on extra. To die for and the salty contrast is divine.

Speaking of ice cream that has become mythical in (my) mind…I used to love this stuff called Butter Brickle. Thin, crispy bits of a toffee like substance in vanilla ice cream, maybe with pecans? I was a kid the last time I ever had any, and nothing else comes close.

Coloma's avatar

@augustlan Oh my gosh yes! I forgot all about Butter Brickle, wow, blast from the past. It must be obsolete now.

augustlan's avatar

I got all excited, but they don’t even tell us which companies are making it. Hmph.

augustlan's avatar

Thanks, @ibstubro! The only one of those available in my area is Turkey Hill, and I’ve never seen the Butter Brickle flavor here. Will inquire. :D

Edit: I see that I can get it DELIVERED from eCreamery!!

Willcoxen’s light vanilla! and there used to be a wonderful licorice ice cream at out local Ice
cream Parlor!

augustlan's avatar

Holy crap…4 pints of eCreamery Butter Brickle would cost me $85. That’s insane.

augustlan's avatar

New plan. Good quality vanilla ice cream + Heath ‘Brickle’ Bits.

Kardamom's avatar

I rarely eat ice cream, and I don’t ever crave it, but I do like it when I eat it. My 2 favorite flavors are strawberry, and Ben and Jerry’s Chunky Monkey.

Bryers makes Heath bar ice cream.
