Who else l-o-v-e-s to sleep?

Asked by MooCows (3216points) March 16th, 2016

I absolutely love to sleep and sometimes I
cannot decide between sleeping and eating!
I used to come home from high school and
take a nap! My girlfriends would laugh at me!
I am not talking about a nap on the couch.
I mean getting back into bed and sleeping 2–3 hours!
If beauty sleep is anything I should be gorgeous!
I just hope there is someone else out there like me!

Sleeping and dreaming are high-class activities. Ask any cat!

No. Compared to the world, sleep seems very unappealing. I often stay up late because I can’t bring myself to leave whatever I am doing for another day.

Is it that your really love them or you love them because you need them badly?
If you are getting enough sleep at night and still require a long nap, then something may be wrong.
True that young people need more sleep than most. Some doctors think that young people till the age of 21 may actually need 12 hours of sleep.
But sleeping poorly at night, or even thyroid issues or other underlying health issues can make a long nap necessary.

Could also simply be habit. I remember when I was young I loved afternoon naps. So quiet from the noise and busy day. It was a great way to quiet down and slow down. Plus in the spring and fall, an awesome breeze blowing through my window would knock me out in seconds. We had a big tree outside our window.

I lived in a third floor apartment so I would hear the rustling of the leaves. My mom always had snacks ready after school and we would eat and off to do homework or what ever. On days where I knew homework was a breeze, I would just take a nap.

A nap at the right time any day can seem like a little piece of heaven if it leaves you feeling refreshed.

I like to go to sleep, but when it’s time to wake up, I’m fine doing that, too.

I always say I love my bed and love going to sleep, but I’m not one to sleep around the clock. I can’t. I can take a nap if I’m off or on vacation, but I am also fine sleeping 4 or 5 hours a night.

On rare occasions when I come home and there’s no child here, I may lie down and have a hard time getting up to get water or dinner. It may be because I’m tired or it may be because I’m cold.

As someone who suffers from insomnia, on a regular basis, I think sleep might be the best thing in the world.

I love to sleep. I have the best dreams. It’s like my own cinema in my head.

Sadly, for some reason, I can’t sleep for as long as I used to.

No, I don’t much enjoy sleeping or napping anymore. To be, uh, painfully honest, my arthritis makes it difficult for me to find a comfortable position, so I rarely get a full night’s sleep anymore. And to make matters worse, I’m prone to having bad dreams. Naps help.

I sleep about 10 hours a night and even if I have had a nap I still
can sleep without any problems. I know many older ones who cannot
sleep. I just love the way my bed feels and I am completely relaxed
is probably the best part of it. If there is somewhere I need to be I
have no problem getting up and ready for the day. I do worry at times that
I am wasting my life away….but it is just something I enjoy. My hubbie
says I could sleep on a rock!

When I was a teen I loved it. One reason was because I didn’t get enough at night. For most if my life I needed 9 hours. If I only for 7.5 at night, I would nap 1.5 during the day. If I was sleep deprived several days, I might sleep 12 hours street on the weekend to make up for it.

It didn’t help that now and then I was depressed as a teen. Also, walking through cold weather; when I got home and warmed up it made me sleepy.

If you need more than 9 hours a day consistently, and you are older than 20 then I suggest check your thyroid.

Sleep is my hobby! I can sleep as much as I want, as long as there’s nothing that needs me to wake up. But like other hobbies, I have to know when and how to spend time on it.

I love to sleep. I don’t do it well, but I love it.
