Who would introduce me some academic methods of retaining wall(was dragged by a equipment)?

Asked by xichyu (222points) May 17th, 2016

There is a retaining wall near the river. The retaining wall protect the soil be washed away. I want to calculate the passive earth pressure when the retaining wall was dragged by a equipment (the drag force toward to soil and applied on the top of the wall). And, of course, I just need the method,so the depth of water, the hight of wall, drag force, and so on can be represented by the English alphabets. I do not know any academic methods of solving the case. Who would introduce me some datails about academic methods of retaining wall (was dragged by a equipment) near the river?

If the hight of the river deposited silt is half of the wall,How can we solve it?

@xichyu Water weighs 8.8 lbs per gallon and silt filled water I can only guess weighs 13–15 lbs per gallon…do the math from there.
