PewDiePie closely followed by Kinder Surprise undoing.

How-to videos that take 25 minutes to explain what takes 30 seconds to do.

- Another vote for Pewdiepie. Seriously I used to like him a lot until he started relying solely on sex jokes for views like he has nothing more to say.
– What is wrong with <insert anything>/Real ghost on tape… They only shares one thing in common: jump scare.
– Watch Mojo’s top 10. Top 10 can be quite a good source of new knowledge, but Watch Mojo isn’t even informative.
– Creepypasta readings. The voice just ruins the story for me in most cases.
– Ads that play before videos. Enough said.
A bit country specific Political/Celebrity/Shocking “news reports”. Just some random photos running with a voice reporting “news”. I never knew making a news report is that easy, everyone can do that! Not to mention you don’t even need to cite any source gor your news too.

There you go. I clicked on this question thinking I had no particular complaint. But that’s it.

A video is not the efficient way to tell me how, for example, to change display settings on my computer. Type the instructions, I can read it in 10 seconds. Don’t show me a 2-minute video.

It’s a toss-up between “reaction” videos and “prank” videos. The latter may be slightly worse. If I hear “it’s just a prank, bro!” one more time, I think I’m gonna kill somebody.

I’m going to vote for reaction videos. Their titles are also tend to be misleading. I mean, who wants to watch your personal reaction? All I want is to watch the whole episode myself. Those who make reaction videos are either attention-deficit or simply narcissistic.

Great question. I’ll go with the unboxing vids.

1.Videos that have a clickbait title.
2. Hate videos
3. As @seek said, How-to videos that take 25 minutes to explain what takes 30 seconds to do.
4. Top 10 videos that have way too much unnecessary info. I just want to know the top 10 and a little bit of information, I don’t want to hear a whole essay.
I love YouTube, I will admit to being perhaps slightly obsessed with youtube. I love youtubers, but there are so many stupid YouTube videos

Unboxing videos can be helpful. For instance, when I was shopping for Collector Card Game card packs for my son for his birthday, it was nice to see what exactly is in the different available packs.

How-tos are, generally, great. It’s nice to have a well-lit, well-edited how-to that is narrated by someone who is fluent in his first language. It’s how I learned how to change the distributor cap on my Crown Vic a few years back. Really great. What I didn’t like was when I was working on a crochet project and realised I was doing a stitch the wrong way, and needed a visual guide through how to do it the right way.

A stitch takes about 5 seconds to complete. The shortest video I could find was 10 minutes. I really didn’t need to hear some yuppie mom pitch her favourite hand-spun alpaca yarn for a million years before getting down to business.

Let’s Plays are one of my son’s favourite things ever, so while there are a few voices that I could stand to hear less of (I’m looking at you AnnoyingOrangeGaming!) some are really entertaining (like Dan of The Diamond Minecart).

For me the worst type is one that take the longest to explain anything… and/or is narrated by an annoying 14-year old.

I’ve found numerous DYI videos helpful. I simply stop watching the ones I can tell from experience will not be.
