(nsfw) is there any connection between yoga and sex?

There are some articles which suggests that you can attend higher consciousness a.k.a. Samadhi like state through sex also. Do you think it’s possible? Anyone heard about Osho and his thoughts on this?

Sting swears by tantric sex, pretentious bullshit say I, when I fuck she stays fucked :D

In that yoga teaches one to be fully present in one’s body, it makes sex focused, intense, and much much more than merely a quick orgasm.

I know which of the two posters above I’d prefer to have sex with.

@ucme: She probably “stays fucked” so she won’t have to do it with you again.

You guys, learn to recognise when someone is pulling your leg in an obvious self deprecating manner, otherwise you just look & sound like miserable whiners.
Oh & I thought Billie Jean was a lesbian…

There can be if you want there to be. IMO sex is sex and something that comes naturally and anyone can experience that at what ever level you so desire. Yoga on the other hand is a learned discipline of asanas (poses) and sequences that impart a variety of physical, mental and spiritual experiences. Simply mixing sex and yoga IMO will not get you any closer to a tantric experience than 2 teenagers in the back seat of their parents car.

Combining yoga with a sexual encounter takes a tremendous amount of awareness of your physical and emotional needs and abilities as well as your partners. A true yoga/sexual/tantric experience takes knowledge of yoga and the ability to create that sensual interaction between the yogic aspects that one can integrate to the sexual experience that creates a very intense and intimate experience.

One can conflate a powerful tantric experience with this Samadhi but to do so IMHO is to not fully understand what Samadhi is or really means. Samadhi is anything but a powerful sexual experience.
