Basic hygiene: brushing and flossing your teeth.
Advanced hygiene: scraping your tongue and rinsing with mouthwash

Basic hygiene: bathing or showering regularly
Advanced hygiene: exfoliating

Basic hygiene: trimming your nails
Advanced hygiene: manicures and pedicures

P.S. I recommend against manicures and pedicures for anyone involved in activities that make good use of calluses.

@josie The advance just seems like overkill. Like doing a daily enema to the point that you starve the body of nutrients.

Basic hygiene, going to the dentist every six months
Advance, getting a deep cleaning every 3 months.

Basic Shaving body hair, from your face, underarms, and private areas.
Advance, Waxing hair or using electrolysis
