Yes. The Canadian anthem. One less song to remember. ~

Not exactly.

I’d like to keep the Star Splattered Banana as the US anthem, but they should update it to the Jimi Hendrix version. ;-D

Yes, because “The Star Spangled Banner” is too hard to sing well! I would like to have “This Land Is Your Land” as our national anthem.

We need to do something because now when it is played or sang
many people don’t even stand out of respect. To me that is just
down right tacky!

It seems that i’ve heard this all my life. People don’t seem pleased with the current anthem, but nothing gets done. America the Beautiful would be nice.

It’s too late. It’s a terrible anthem, but it’s OUR terrible anthem. Some of the greatest people the world has yet seen as well as folks I care for dearly have sung the silly song with tears in their eyes. It’s played over their graves, and it no longer matters that it’s a stupid awkward tune about a flag. If the tune were “Camptown Races” and the flag a skull & crossbones, the tears would still come and we would still stand up at the ballpark, while some celebrity of no singing ability butchers “doo dah , doo dah” before a solemn & reverent crowd.

Of course not. Anyone who has bothered to know the meaning of the third verse would not want it changed. It was written during the war of 1812. Historical context always matters.
