What are upbeat, touching fantasy TV series like Early Edition and Quantum Leap (80s/90s welcomed)?

I am looking for other series that are simple, where you know each episode will end happily… preferably drama with a touch of sci fi. And bonus for stories that make you cry. Fantasy Island is about right, though only a few episodes are hanky-worthy and it shows its age (to me). Same with most of the 80s Twilight Zone episodes – which I love for the poetic, beautiful, wrap it up ending monologues.
