Can you draw a cartoon? Topic in details.

Asked by Jeruba (55824points) October 6th, 2016

I’d like to see a political cartoon that plays on the idea of “fact checkers” as if it referred to a game of checkers. Something about using facts (and falsehoods) competitively, as if on a checkerboard. I don’t have the stylistic knack—or the gift of brevity—needed to pull it off, but maybe you do.

Or maybe you’ve already seen a cartoon or joke that makes this play on words. If so, could you please provide a link?

Delightful concept, @Jeruba, I wish I had one for you. I’ll be following!

Hmm… I am tempted to take this on. I’ve never done cartooning, but it’s a neat concept. I’ll grab a sketchbook while I’m watching the baseball game tonight.

@Cruiser, cool that you found this. The press as the opponent, though—that doesn’t seem like the right competition to me. I wanted, oh, let’s say an elephant and a donkey on opposite sides of the board. Maybe even a life-size board.

If one cartoonist has done it, I’ll bet another has too. I just haven’t run across any myself.

I have not drawn anything in a year or more.
