If Trump’s children are way way way more qualified than Trump, who’s responsible for that? How about Ivana?

I must have missed someone. Trump’s children are more qualified than he is to do what?

Perhaps they have better educations, perhaps they behave better, although we don’t know too much about their behavior because they haven’t been scrutinized the way the Donald has. Maybe in real life they’re assholes, who knows. I don’t think they’re “way way more qualified than Donald Trump” to be President, but then again, I don’t think Donald Trump is qualified at all to be President.

Trump himself has credited Ivana with raising his children (the first three) and how great they are. That’s him using the word great, I don’t know his children.

They had good educations, both k-12 and university. They live in circles that require a certain level of etiquette. Trump I’m sure has some good qualities, he seems to love his children, Ivana was/is supposedly quite smart, and I’m sure she loves her children too.

A term that is frequently misused is “third world”. It drives me nuts. People throw that expression around without regard to it’s meaning.
In this election, the same thing has happened to the words “qualified” and “disqualified”.

The Constitution gives three eligibility requirements to be president: one must be 35 years of age, a resident “within the United States” for 14 years, and a “natural born Citizen,” a term not defined in the Constitution.

Those are the qualifications. As underprepared and potentially dangerous as he is, he still is qualified.

Huh? Who said they were better than Trump? From what I can tell, the older son is as much of an asshole as Donald is.

@filmfann: Those may be the minimum requirements, but we all know that in this day and age, a college education is pretty much a must. I’d say knowledge and experience in politics, too, but Trump doesn’t have that (which is why, to me, he is not qualified to be President).

Qualified to do what?

But I don’t mean Donald is qualified. If I say cold is a way better thing to deal with than cancer or something, I don’t mean that I would like to catch a cold that cold is a good thing.

@filmfann Are you sure those are the only requirements?
-*35 years of age,
-a resident “within the United States” for 14 years,
-a “natural born Citizen,”
Based on that wouldn’t a serial killer qualify once he /she finishes jail term?

Those are the only qualifications required by the Constitution.
There is a difference between unqualified and disqualified.

@filmfann: I understand.
