How can one best learn without educating others?

Asked by Ltryptophan (12091points) November 14th, 2016 from iPhone

I have noticed that sometimes the “light” of my curiosity can show others what is out there to know. I am all for everyone learning, and freedom of information. Are there best practices for keeping special lessons to myself. Especially if I am planning innovative technologies.

If you want to hide your studies from others, one idea is to make it seem that you are doing something that they already think they know enough about, that’s different from what you’re really doing, but includes stuff that looks like what you are doing.

You’re just doing taxidermy and radio-controlled toys, not making robot zombie animals. ;-)
