It's a longshot, for sure. What will Trump do if the recounts in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan are successful?

Asked by elbanditoroso (33145points) November 28th, 2016

… and the results give Hillary the majority of electoral votes (along with her 2 million+ lead in the popular vote).

What would Trump do? Would he hand over the reins gracefully? Would Trump’s supporters support the American way, or would they stage a coup?

I doubt it would be pleasant, but I can’t think of a better test to see if the US is a country of laws.

No, he wouldn’t. No way. Nor would his supporters.

I can’t wait to find out.

He would hand it over. It won’t happen though. No way there is going to be a bad count if so many thousands of people in more than one state.

Probably say screw you and return to his billions and live happily ever after with his hot wife and cool kids and leave Mrs Clinton to be the history’s most famous case of “Entitlement Syndrome”.

Or maybe initiate a recount of the recount? And on and on until the 2020 election.

@josie I can think of worse ways he could spend those four years than recounting recounted ballots.

The only thing I have to say about this is Clinton gave away her “Get out of jail free card.” I read that today, I believe, on CNN. The Stein woman is someone I was not familiar with and I seriously can not look at her as she speaks and had to turn off the video because her voice made me feel like I was going to explode. I wonder if people live with her and have to hear her routinely.

I am hoping that the recount will expose the vote manipulation that I believe occurred. Not because I want Clinton in but just to show the citizens of the US how they have been duped repeatedly since the introduction of electronic voting machines.

What I don’t understand is what the Green Party has to gain from having recounts. They have raised millions of dollars to get them done. Is this just a way of gaining attention?

@LostInParadise the cynic in me sees the hands of Clinton and both the Democratic and Republican elites behind the funding and pursuit of this recount.

@LostInParadise It is a way of gaining big bucks. @LostInParadise I agree. Both parties, elites.

@elbanditoroso Could be the number of illegal/fraudulent votes give give him the popular vote as well.
