Do online tutoring services offer good deals?

I’m thinking of starting a tutoring business. I’m debating whether to sign up with an online tutoring platform such as Varsity or start my business from scratch. These platforms seem to be like Uber for tutors. Have any of you worked for Varsity or another online tutoring service, or used it as a student? If so, how was your experience?
