Equalizer "Flat" = "Off"?

Asked by anthony81212 (389points) August 21st, 2008

I was poking around on iTunes today, and I found that I could either disable the equalizer or enable it and set it to flat. Are these two the same things?

The two are the same thing.

edit :: And I found this tip works really well.

Nice find with that “perfect” equalizer setting, johnpowell! I was dubious at first, but it does sound pretty good with those settings.. I thought my manual setting was good but now it sounds dull and flat comparatively.

My trucks head unit has flat as one of the options and it doesnt sound the same as off. It actually sounds much worse than off.
