Is Fluther gonna support GoogleTalk as IM notification app?

Asked by HeNkiSdaBro (392points) October 12th, 2008

I think lots of people use either google talk or gmail chat. Having Fluther support that would be useful! Anyone know their plans?

I don’t see why they’d make it where you need to be signed up to another service (even if it is Google) to use Fluther.

Anyway… IM notification for what? Your Comments? Your Activity? There’s RSS feeds for that if you want to be notified when you’re not actually on the site…

Check under My Account here in Fluther. There are options for IM notifications. But only for YahooIM and AIM. I have signed off for the service of getting notifications of new comments and/or answers to my questions by email. I’d rather have them sent on an IM client instead of staying on Fluther and updating the page…

My apologies! I never noticed that option (and kind-of misunderstood the question, I think)..
