I would have appreciated an opportunity to convince him to have a vasectomy after his son started my line of the family, but before the birth of the son that generated Barbara (Pierce) Bush’s line of the family.

But: He was a Captain in many battles and died leading a unit in a war.
The issue of birth control (not to mention vasectomy) would certainly have been revolutionary.
