Replacing bike tires?

Asked by ccrash3 (375points) October 14th, 2008

I have a 26” mountain bike that I’m using on the local bike trail. I think I need to replace the knobby tires with something more suitable for paved roads. Is this possible to do and how do I do it? The bike tire websites have confused me. Any input would be great!

Get a wire bead tire (not kevlar bead)... lots cheaper.

Get a couple of tire levers, and then follow these instructions on how to actually change the tire.

First you need to consult with expert, look around and discuss with people. Also you can use internet to know about appropriate tires for your bike. When satisfied, purchase, you will be able to get best product at affordable rates.
