Have you seen this article?

I apologize to the moderators, I know it’s the ultimate bias, and not really a question. And I know we’re all getting sick of politics and political wrangling. But this frightens me, and I wondered if it frightens other Flutherers.

Thanks. I was trying to figure out what the scariest thing I could be for Halloween would be. Now I know.

I already knew about that and it does frighten me. This aspect of their ticket has been profiled before, but somehow it never seems to outrage mainstream media enough for my tastes.

Of course the article is a bit one sided. I am not as worried about the religious stuff, but her disdain for research is about as insulting as McCain’s quotation marks in the last debate.

The ticket’s disdain for education is what bothers me. (Though I’m a horribly strong advocate for freedom of religion.)

Those airquotes! I just barely saw them because I was busily seeing red about another issue, but when I did, man I lost it!

Being a father of two children with Autism, this report enrages me! The continuance of Sarah Palin’s idiocy knows no bounds when it comes to even her own special interests. Apparently Downs Syndrome trumps Autism? Or maybe her lack of knowledge on 99.99% of anything important, even to herself is her excuse? Whatever. No Palin. EVER!

After having seen how the GOP treats science fact over the last 8 years, I’m not surprised in the slightest…this is typical of the far right evangelical set. And considering that the Republicans are about to have their ass handed to them in a way that according to a growing number of Republicans, likely to tear the Republican party apart, resulting in one camp of fiscal conservatives and another of social conservative, I say let her spout her ignorance. It will force them to redraw their lines, marginalize the anti-science crowd and come back with a Republican party that represents more than the just the 10% of this country which shuns anything that conflicts with a literal interpretation of THEIR bible.

Just when you thought things could get any worse. Yes, this frightens me too, syz, and now I’m starting to wonder (if she gets into office with McCain) about what kind of surprises we’ll see then. I’ll probably sleep better at night if I just don’t put too much thought into it.

I think saying this women is “frightening” sounds silly and much like what all of the evangicals have described Obama as. She’s not scary, she is a fucking idiot who is screwing it up for the GOP and I am happy when I read articles like this. Frightening is a bit over dramatic.

@jess: The idea of her being the second highest position in office is frightening. What she could do to this country, if (god forbid) something happened to McCain, is frightening.
I don’t think her as a person is frightening, but the power she could have.

I feel sick to my stomach these days. It just goes lower and lower, all the way down to the lowest common denominator. I cannot wait for this election to be over.
