How do I do that?

Asked by nick2008 (15points) October 30th, 2008

My cell phone service plan is about to end. I use AT&T Wireless nation Unlimited plan at present. I want to know if there are any other better service providers or plans around. How do I do that?

Depends on service in your area; plans are different across the country. Most companies offer similar plans. If you’re thinking about getting an iPhone, you need to factor that in. Also, some plans don’t count calls to phones that are within customers of the same carrier towards your minutes. We have 4 phones sharing 1500 minutes and never use them all because of this plan feature.

Whenever I research these things, I go to the individual company sites to look at their plans and coverage maps. I also ask people at work and other places that I frequent how they like their service and how strong the signal is in those locations. Then I do a web search for cell phone service comparison, and several sites are listed that might offer more insight.

In addition to what these people say, invite someone to your house (as in maybe one of your friends using a competing service) to make sure your new service will work where you need it to (if you’re cell phone only).
