Custom Icons for Pwned iPhone\Winterboard.

Asked by jtvoar16 (2171points) October 31st, 2008

I’m not going to lie, I am very, very tired and don’t feel like sorting through all the junk on the Pwn site so I’m just asking you guys here;
Is there a way I can upload my own custom App Icons into a Theme I download from Cidia for Winterboard?
I have a really cool Theme I downloaded and I want to create some icons to go with that theme for Apps that don’t already have a custom icon.

in the folder that’s called “icons” I think you add your images ( icons) into that folder and name the images with the name of the specific app. Then ssh the theme to your device.

HAHAHAHA! I WIN! I totally Pwned my phone.
I figured it out:
There are two ways to make custom icons:
use a theme in Winterboard (one that you make)
or overwrite the icon directly inside the app located in /privet/var/stash/Applications.xxxxxx (where xxxxxx=a random string of variables, differing for every installation of the iPhone Firmware [Hacked or Not])
Most seem to be named icon.png, but I have seen some with “logo” and other random names.
