I believe that Amy Winehouse would have sung that new James Bond song 10 times better than Alicia Keys. But unfortunately she was too busy smoking crack to care.

I believe God (the one and only) created the Earth and the first humans.*
I believe He actively watches over the Earth and has a plan.
I believe that there is a Heaven and a Hell I believe in God and the Devil. I believe our actions determine where we end up.
I believe that God is a merciful deity who loves and forgives the World.
I believe abortion is wrong.
I believe that Pangea existed and that the Creation could have happened over the course of a week or a thousand years. (original texts do not specify)
I believe in Microevolution but not Macro.
I believe that marriage is something sacred between a man and a woman.
I believe that the War is justified.
I believe that most journalists have lost their objectivity.
I believe that our upcoming election is one of the most finite points of climax, cause, and effect in the recent past.
I believe that despite our faults America is a great country.
I believe that a person who claims that we are in an economic crisis and drives an SUV, has a home that most of the world would die for, and who goes home and can pull change from his pocket and put it on his nightstand doesn’t know the meaning of economic crisis.
I believe that people are dying in every corner of the earth at this very moment of things we have the power to stop.
I believe Christmas is a Christian holiday that would be the same with or without presents.
I believe that people who criticize the candidates, debate, and talk about them then not vote have NO RIGHT to whine about the president.
I believe that Macs are better than PCs.
Above all of these I believe in the Blood of Jesus Christ.

*Little known fact that my friend made me aware of just recently: The Bible says that God created more humans than just Adam and Eve. They were just the first ones. Whether or not you believe in God, you have to agree that a good argument could be made in the realm of Homo sapien genetic diversity from this.

I believe that no one is born inherently evil and that everyone deserves to love and be loved.
I believe that second chances should not be squandered, but not necessarily that everyone deserves them.
I believe that my purpose on this planet is to love everyone.
I believe that there are others like me who are meant to love everyone so I don’t have to love everyone.

“Love is the answer”.

WonderingOutLoud's avatar

I believe that the thing that creates the concept of GOD is between people, not outside. The entity of GOD is existent in the relationships of the human condition. A supreme being and external GOD is not love, but rather love IS GOD. When one walks into a room and there is a connection to someone across the way without a word, THAT is the essence of the spiritual. Every civilization has used external deities to answer the unanswerable science questions. The early Egyptians considered RA the sun god to move the heavens. Christians placed the birth of mankind in the deity GOD’s hands because we did not understand how we came to be. Then science finds answers and GOD as a concept is challenged. If the existence of GOD is manifest in the relationships between people, then faith in the common good and understanding each other is truly most important: to love your “brother” as yourself, the world becomes a better place. The challenges of science become mute and science can be celebrated as the miracle of human ingenuity that it is. Music, art, dance, theater and all shared human existence enhancing activities can be viewed as religious in nature and contributing to GOD. So please go be nice to someone!
