Election party music: any suggestions?

Asked by chad (694points) November 4th, 2008

Tonight and tomorrow night, I am going to a few election/patriotic themed parties, and I was wondering if there are any songs (outside of “Born in the USA”) that I should compile together and put on while I’m there. Any and all help would be awesome, and I have lots of lurves to give out ;)

Just heard “Promised Land” by Bruce Springsteen last night and it reminded me that
that would be a great song to play.

How about Dylan’s “Times They Are a Changin’” or am I dating myself too much?

@janbb
Only because you asked. :-) Dylan is classic—with him it’s not about age, but simple awareness.

I know it’s late, but I want to contribute the song Super Tuesday by Hearts of Palm U.K. simply because it’s a catchy little ditty that I’d like to get the word out about. So find it an listen, for sure!
