Anybody have experience with Print On Demand services for their book?

Asked by ideabrian (404points) November 19th, 2008

Getting ready to self-publish a book and am starting my research. I’ve found Lulu.com but want to know what others have experience with.

I guess not a lot of answers here, but I’d be very interested in how your experience turns out. I’ve also found Blurb.com as another option (which you may have seen)...

If you think about it once you’re printed and published, drop an update on here. I’d love to hear what you thought of the process and final product.

I’m not really sure what you’re asking. Print-on-demand is a printing format, not a publishing one. Are you looking for a printer or someone to publish your book? Lulu is a notch about the rest of the subsidy publishers, most of which are a waste of your time and money, so if it’s just getting a few copies of a book for gifts or whatever, it’s a good bet. What is your goal/objective? The answer can vary depending on what you really want to do with your words.
