I’m making a mix for a displaced friend. I know the obvious songs: Joni Mitchell, Led Zep, anything by RHCP or the Counting Crows, and rap songs from the 90s. I need more. Please help.

In college a friend and I did a so-Cal roadtrip to stop at places mentioned in songs… I could probably find our driving mix tape somewhere if specific cities would be useful.
