It’s been a long time coming. I’m proud to say I never voted for the guy. Doesn’t make Illinois look too good, but remember folks, this is only one guy. What he did doesn’t reflect on all Illinois politicians (though, it does for many).

When I first read it, I thought it was a joke….no one in their right mind would honestly think they could auction off a state senator position….then I realized it wasn’t a joke and that even though I don’t know this guy he must be a Moron with a capital M.

I never liked him from the beginning. Good thing they got him.

Maybe he thinks he can appoint himself to the Senate, kill off all the folks between him and the presidency and then pardon himself.

Yuck!

Only Hot Rod would have the gall to try that.

@harp: The Lt. Governor, Pat Quinn is a wonderful man, too. If Blago resigns, or they impeach him, Quinn will be a great thing for IL.

Good to hear. I can’t say I know much about him. Maybe if Blago resigns soon enough, Quinn could make the Senate appointment and spare us the expense and drama of a special election are you back stateside, Les?

If they were to arrest all the criminal politicians in IL, we would have to import all new politicians. Chicago politics suck, but then, so does Peoria politics. That’s why I like living in a small town in IL. If the politicians get too bad, we just lynch them. get a rope.
