My brother is turning 32 and I don't know what to give him... any suggestions?

Asked by everval (126points) December 12th, 2008

He isn’t married, doesn’t have a girlfriend (not gay), he likes to party a lot and he looooves jack daniel’s but I’m sure everyone is going to give him a bottle so… he’s kind of a rocker… loves lamb of god, devildriver, etc… that kind of music… and I don’t know what to give him… help!

Maybe a nice set of drinking glasses to go with the Jack Daniel’s?

For some reason the first thing that popped into my mind was a steak dinner. Not sure why, but I’m sure it would be appreciated if he’s not a vegetarian.

A weekend in Vegas? Rooms are pretty cheap right now and so are flights.

Not gay, huh? Then the mirrored disco ball is probably out. How about a gift card?

Tickets to a concert.

A tattoo. Most def-i-nitt-ally. Ask him what his favorite place is (in town), take him there, and stick with him (meaning “have a conversation”) while the delicious torture is performed. Then pay for it.

You might want to ask him what kind he wants before you set up the appointment.

You really can’t go wrong with gift cards, but they are a bit impersonal. Don’t do something too conventional; try ebaying merchandise for his favorite bands and such. My roommate just bought her boyfriend a jersey with the signatures of all the members of his favorite team on ebay, and it was perfect. It was personal, it was something he really liked, and it showed that she is in touch with his interests.
