This is for the guys, is this funny?

Is it humorous to put a tampon or panties in your co-worker’s car, hoping their wife/girlfriend will find it?

I’m a girl, but no. Not at all. It’s mean to both parties.

If this is something you’ve actually done, you’re a total asshat.

krose1223's avatar

I’m a girl and that is horrible. I would be pissed if I was on either side of that situation.

Anything that could break up a marriage isn’t funny.

To elaborate: Panties are strictly a no-no. Not funny in any situation. A tampon, if used, is disgusting and a no-no for sanity reasons. I can’t imagined someone pulling out a used tampon in a car even if the WERE having an affair. Gross.

A wrapped tampon, I’m not sure what the point would be. It seems likely that at some point, he might drive another lady like a co-worker around. They probably have a purse, it could have fallen out. It’s not a symbol of illicit goings on.

So, panties are super wrong. A tampon is just dumb (and possibly gross).

Funny jokes are appreciated by both parties. This would not be funny to anyone but the joke player. This is more of a stupid prank than a joke. If I had a friend who thought it was great fun to play a stupid prank on me… well they wouldn’t be my friend anymore for one thing.

you can always leave red lipstick in your friend’s shirt (because he can say that he had a fight with an evil clown in the parking lot) :D

Resonantscythe's avatar

Holy crap no. that’s horrible. you could ruin their relationship

jonsblond's avatar

A true friend would not do this but a co-worker, you are stuck with this person.

cookieman's avatar

Um, no. Not funny.

dynamicduo's avatar

As I do in other situations, I defer to the Golden Rule. I wouldn’t want this happening to me so why would I inflict this on another person? The great thing about the Golden Rule is it really doesn’t matter what relationship you have with the person.

I can see into the future.

Awesome!

Um, what? Are you serious?
Ha ha ha, I’m gonna create a serious issue between a co-worker and their partner! Yay, good times!!!

No. It’s not funny. At all.

saranwrapper's avatar

Depend on the level of use. As we all know, track marks and period blood are always funny.

Oh well, this answer will be disregarded due to my vagina.

jonsblond's avatar

No disregard saranwrapper, just trying to understand the opposite sex.

madcapper's avatar

Hahahaha it’s funny if you HATE that person. No it’s actually pretty mean. I still laughed a little when I read the question though…

Likeradar's avatar

@jonsblond- are you a guy or a girl? Did someone do this to you, or are you thinking about doing it to someone?

Computergenius's avatar

Let me think about it, NO, that is not funny. This is funny.

chyna's avatar

@jonsblond you asked a question a few days ago worrying that your husband was having an affair and from your question, you did’nt think it was funny. Would you think it was funny if he came home with panties/tampon in his car?

krose1223's avatar

I’m wondering if maybe this is what someone did to jons husband…

Cardinal's avatar

jonsblond, you would be a complete and total asshat!

madcapper's avatar

what’s this asshat everyone keeps bandying about?

dynamicduo's avatar

Well, you see… (warning, it’s an Asshat, albeit not a real one.)

madcapper's avatar

haha oh I see a hat for your posterior….

augustlan's avatar

I’m wondering if jons husband told her it was what someone did to him.

madcapper's avatar

what time is the Sherlock Holmes marathon on BBC again? dun dun dunnnnnn…

jonsblond's avatar

You are right augustlan! Found a pad (not my brand). He blamed a co-worker for pulling a prank. The older guys at his work(when asking who did it) started telling stories of panties, etc. that fellow friends had put in a buddies car. I believe my husband about this one (he does work with idiots) or I’m the idiot for believing him. Hard to believe guys can be so cruel.

augustlan's avatar

Hmmm. My spider senses are tingling.

Knotmyday's avatar

I feel a…disturbance…in the Force…

EmpressPixie's avatar

Seriously. If that is a prank, it’s lame as hell. I could see panties as a prank. But a pad? You can’t just buy one of those (unless you got them from the vending machine, but then what were you doing in the ladies room?) and a box just to play a prank?

dynamicduo's avatar

Using the logic of occam’s razor, I would find it more probable that something fishy is going on here, especially based on your previous question. One brief fishy smell is one thing, but two different fishy smells from two different events means you’re either living in an aquarium or something’s going on. Of course if your husband’s workmates are truly idiots I wouldn’t put it past them to be stupid like this, but honestly I have never heard of a guy playing this type of prank on another guy. It’s not clear if you talked to the older guy at his work or if your husband simply told you what he said – I would find this situation significantly less suspicious if I had talked to the older guy myself as I could judge whether he was being sincere or whether it sounded like he was covering things up for his friend your husband.

Likeradar's avatar

@empresspixie- while either a pad or panties is a freaking lame and potentially harmful prank, I have to point out that if a guy has a gf/wife/daughter/sister/evil female friend/female roomie/mom etc, a pad isn’t hard to come by.

Maturity and brains, however, could prove pretty difficult.

ctimm15's avatar

i recon it would be funny but if he starts to get in trouble tell his wife what happened

Sakata's avatar

Was he sick or whiny one day? We used to pull gags like that back in the military all the time (and, yes, it was hilarious) but it was usually because someone was being a pussy for whatever reason we deemed necessary. Hey, it’s a guy thing. Maybe the timing of the joke was off for the timing of your personal life, but generally guys don’t put much concern into things like that. Especially when it’s funny.

Hopefully he doesn’t work in an office because then this joke is just screwed up. But if it’s some construction thing (or the like) then it’s perfectly understandable.

Personally, I would have soaked a tampon in red fruit juice. Yea, it’s disgusting but it’s much funnier. Seems like there wasn’t much effort put into this one.
