You’re thinking of tartan sauce.

Huhbuwha?!?

I believe tartar sauce is mayonaise and sweet pickle relish.

What do you mean “plaid”?

This is going to get interesting.

krose1223's avatar

It already is.

arnbev959's avatar

Well, then it’s going to get more interesting.

Only if you keep it in the frizzer.

PupnTaco's avatar

It can be made plaid, but only with the most focused sort of diligence; that special quality the active envy and the elite disdain.

@Katawa- Are you a Wallace? SO AM I!!! [Hence the ‘dub’ in peedub]

I can’t believe you caught that. I wouldn’t put just any tartan up.

When my son was about 4 he was invited to eat at a friend’s house. His friend’s mom called me,said Chris didn’t want to eat. Said he was almost acting like he was a _afraid_of the food! I was puzzled. Chris was not a picky eater. I asked her what they were having for dinner. She said, “Fish sticks.”
Fish sticks were a staple around our house. Never any problem. So I asked to talk to him.
“What’s up?” I asked.
“Well, she asked if I wanted retarded sauce so I wasn’t sure if I should have that!” he said.
I just cracked up. I assured him it was OK to eat tartar sauce!
If I was only 4 and someone wanted to give me retarded sauce I’d want to call my mom too!
It was the only time he ever showed discretion and it was over tartar sauce. SMH.
