Mouse traps. This will work at first but they’ll wise up to it if they see you put one down. In my opinion snap traps are more humane where as the sticky traps don’t kill them…. then you have to. If you use poison you run the risk of one dying in a wall or under the house or something which smells terrible, not to mention the danger of inadvertently poisoning a pet. Anyway, traps have worked well for me in the past. If they do wise up to it at least they won’t be showing their faces, just leaving you little presents all over the place. Good luck!

Seal up food, check for holes in corners, behind built in fixtures (cabinets), and put up pet food (if you leave it out). Also general tidiness will help (no clutter, food, clothing, paper around house.

Second the traps…you can also place moth balls in areas where you find evidence of their presence (read: anywhere you find their little poops), and first wipe down with ammonia/pinesol cleaners to disinfect (wear protective clothing-their pestilence is unhealthful to handle with bare hands).

Did you know over the course of one year a single mouse can produce an entire gallon of urine? Think if you had a whole family. Gross…

Fumigation.

Yeah get a cat. I love cats. My cat once got rid of mice for us! And she isn’t eve a tom cat! She is terrible though——she once killed a chipmunk. Oh well, I guess it is all instinct.

Deacon – hide it inside cabinets in dark areas. It’s fast and clean, dehydrates the mice so they do not smell.

It also contains a regurgitant, and will make your cat or dog vomit if they try to eat any (rats & mice cannot vomit)

I third the cat suggestion. We had mice every winter until we got a cat. Haven’t seen one since.
