Why do I only have one lovehandle?

Asked by emilyrose (2272points) January 6th, 2009

Honestly, I swear I really only have a lovehandle on my left side. I am a relatively thin person overall with pretty much the only fat on my body around the belly, but its noticeably more on my left side. What is up? Do I have some weird growth posing as a lovehandle?

Weird…does it feel like anything’s in there, or just like fatty tissue? Have you asked your doctor about it?

I don’t know why, but this Q made me giggle.

Odd, try using the other side of your body for daily tasks or exercise. Maybe you can burn it off that way or balance it with muscle!

I do need to ask the doc about it I guess ; )

Do you sleep on your right side?

Nobody is equally proportioned. Isn’t one of your boobs bigger than the other? and check out your ears. The bigger the body part the more noticeable the difference. So if you have a little extra around the middle, one side will be more obvious.

That handle is for the Kama Sutra. You are blessed.

Perhaps your boyfriend only has one hand?

Is your spine not perfectly straight? Look at your face with two mirrors and notice that lack of symmetry. MY dominant hand is slightly larger than my left one.

Hi, I’m a Ventura chiropractor and it is probably that your spine is rotated causing the ribs on the one side to be closer to your pelvis on that same side therefore creating extra tissue on that side.

Could be a hernia. Could be a tumor. I know, I know… (Insert Arnold Schwarzenegger joke here).
