Bri_L's avatar

@steelmarket – OOOooo Good call. Add him to mine to. In fact, name mine the Les Paul Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. That guy is the most humble son of a gun ever.

Bri_L's avatar

Oh, and Bob Dylan. The man can write songs.

jjd2006's avatar

@ archaeopteryx, i would personally burn down any hall of fame that had creed in it.
oh
my
goodness.

tennesseejac's avatar

@jjd2006 i will light the match

archaeopteryx's avatar

@jjd2006

Why? Is it because Ceed it broke up?
I is it because you hate it?

Bri_L's avatar

Bruce Springsteen

tennesseejac's avatar

@archaeopteryx I would guess its because Creed sucks! And the main reason they suck is because Scott Stapp sucks!!

I really hope you are joking about his voice being irresistable…

archaeopteryx's avatar

@tennesseejac

Actually, no, I’m not. :)
I really like his voice, and I think it’s incredible.

tennesseejac's avatar

@archaeopteryx Well, better you than me. I guess someone out there has to like it. I just don’t understand how they sold 29 million albums and won a grammy, but I do agree with Guitar World Magazine who voted them the worst band of the year in 2004. I guess the mainstream music listener will eat up whatever is fed to them

archaeopteryx's avatar

@tennesseejac

Well, actually, to be honest with you, I don’t really like all their songs, I just like a one Album(Human Clay), and a couple songs from another album (‘Who’s Got my back?’ and ‘Weathered’). That’s all. :)

But, come on. I mean I used to be a big fan of Linkin Park, but after they released their latest album (Minutes to Midnight (Minutes to Mediocrity)), I hated them to the core!

jjd2006's avatar

@tennesseejac, I am with you all the way. On every point.
I’m sure you have a thing or two to say about Linkin Park as well. ;)

tennesseejac's avatar

@archaeopteryx so you just like one album and you want them in your Hall of Fame ? And, its got to tell you something if you go from being a “big fan” to hating a band to the core.

You can put a big record company behind almost any band and sell a million albums, but that doesnt mean they’re good, it just means they were well promoted/ marketed. If a musician/ band makes it to MTV or RollingStone it doesnt matter if they are talented, they will still make tons of money because the majority of music listeners are mindless and they buy something because its the “cool” thing… luckily, when the dust settles that musician/ band is long forgotten

archaeopteryx's avatar

@tennesseejac

True, but as for me, I almost never watch any concerts or video clips, and I don’t buy my music anymore either.. thanks to torrents and Limewire. :)

And, it doesn’t really matter for me who the band is or how famous, good or bad they are, as long as the song itself is inspiring me or describes how I feel.. etc.

For example, according to my own method of measurement, The Beatles are crap, because I just don’t enjoy their music at all. However, I can’t deny the fact that they are a very famous band with millions of fans around the world, but ya know..

tennesseejac's avatar

@archaeopteryxthe Beatles are crap ? that is all you have to say (well, I guess I should have realized your type when you wanted to put Creed into your Hall of Fame).

There is no hope for you. Please continue to steal shitty music from Limewire and get your inspiration from douchebags

archaeopteryx's avatar

Thanks for your advice. :-)

forestGeek's avatar

Why did this get so lame all of a sudden? Oh wait, something here might explain it!

archaeopteryx's avatar

@forestGeek

Actually, I do not really agree with the question you mentioned, but I’m not gonna talk about it right now, since that’s off-topic.

But, with all due respect, it’s too much to blame people for what kind of music they listen to, what books they read, or what cars they prefer.. etc. It just doesn’t make sense, ya know. (Again, with all due respect)

tennesseejac's avatar

I really get offended when crappy musicians win Grammys. And, I feel bad for those who listen to music such as CREED, just like I feel bad for those who drive Hummers with 22 inch rims.

Nimis's avatar

Someone nominated Creed?
Then someone else GA’d that suggestion?
You do realize they meant Hall of Fame and not Hall of Shame, right?

archaeopteryx's avatar

@Nimis and @tennesseejac

I’m not gonna talk about it anymore. :)
