When a question or answer is being edited does it still show up?

When I edit a question or an answer after posting it, is it removed temporarily while I am editing, or is the original version still there for flutherers to see?

Yes, you see the old answer while editing. when the page refreshes you see the edited answer

Yes, it shows up because I was editing and editing this one test question, and someone popped in with the answer before I was finished with my 3 edit/experiment!
