Yes, it seems like everyone I know is following this diet. They all seem to think it is the answer.

I saw a book once that talked about foods that were compatible with each blood type. It was weird, but I found the book to be somewhat racist.

I haven’t read the book, but my mom told me that when she read Eat Right 4 Your Type, it was right on the mark for her blood type and what kinds of foods she had found were good and bad for her when she was dieting. This was many years ago (I think the book was published in the mid-90’s), so it was long before the current blood-type diet fad – it might be worth checking out…

I have heard of it and can only assume that it’s yet another crackpot diet for those willing to buy into it.

In the end, the only plan that works is: Eat less. Move more.

I can offer this testimonial: my husband, who was a sucker for fads,
and practiced them rigorously, did the Blood Type Diet in the 90’s on the advice of his
idiot naturopath when it first came out. He became a vegan and was always hungry and couldn’t get enough protein into him without gaining weight from all the carbs. He gained sixty pounds. He had to go on the equally-unbalanced Atkins to take it off again. Sigh.

Never heard of the diet. However I must have some kind good blood or antibodies or rh facter or something. There is a procedure done at the Red Cross called apheresis. It takes about 70 to 90 minutes to extract a certain component of your blood and they give the rest back to you. I am constantly being called up to come in for a leukemia patient. Usually a sick kid at the Childrens Medical Center.

@Cardinal Thank you for your time and donation. I wish more people would give blood. I realized the gravity of blood supplies when my wife needed emergency surgery and required several transfusions. It really is the gift of life.
