Does anyone know where I can get a pair of aviator sunglasses with bright green lenses?

Asked by FrankHebusSmith (4319points) February 9th, 2009

I saw a pair in one of those Burger King “King” commercials like 2–3 years ago, he had av’s on with round, bright green reflective lenses. I’ve been periodically keeping an eye out for them, but to no avail yet. Anyone have a suggestion where I might be able to find some?

eBay? Amazon?

I’m going to suggest something completely novel here… I mean, you might be shocked by this, its totally revolutionary…

The Internet.

the 70’s?

I’ve tried the internet, extensively over the past few years. No sunglasses or regular glasses websites have them, ebay didn’t, and no google/yahoo search has turned up anything of value. I even tried (unsuccessfully) to get ahold of someone at Burgerking who might simply be able to tell me where they got them.

The 70’s would be great, but that just opens up a whole new set of problems…

All you have to do is find the (aviator) frames you like and have any optical store replace the lenses with your green ones. They have every color imaginable, no joke. I think Lenscrafters charges around $50.00 for non-prescription, custom lenses.
